Be A Blessing

"Be a Blessing" has been the theme to my week. Our new ministry launch team talked last Sunday about asking God how we can be a blessing to people who don't know him. The next day, our church's monthly newsletter arrived in my mailbox and there was a blurb about an event that I was trying to get off the ground before the Christmas season. I had not even remembered that I titled it, "Be a Blessing." The idea behind the event is to make greeting cards (with an enormous collection of papercrafting supplies donated by Jill Gabrielson!) for people to use to encourage others. It was inspired, mainly, by the fact that there are a handful of people who do just that...send out birthday cards, notes to soldiers, thank you notes to people behind-the-scenes. I've spent the last few days making some samples so that people can have some ideas in front of them. I giggled as I looked at my effort...a little overboard!
